- Description
- Project to Paint Elevated Water Tower, Building 10024, Sheppard Air Force Base (Project VNVP 001071) will be issued in the near future. Work will consist of furnishing all necessary plant, labor and materials to paint a water tower. The Contractor shall utilize a contained wet abrasive blast cleaning process to remove the existing interior and exterior coating systems (to near white metal grade) from Water Tower Bldg 10024 (the exterior system is lead containing), including the tank, riser, supporting structure, and all appurtenances such as ladders, lighting fixtures, conduit, guys, struts, tie rods, braces, columns, foundation bolts, rectifier boxes, gages, pipes, etc. The Contractor shall re-coat all interior and exterior surfaces with the painting systems specified in contract specifications, replace the existing interior tank ladder, annodes and annode cables/support brackets with new to match existing, replace the existing 20" diameter roof water access hatch with a 30" hatch, replace the existing 12" mushroom type vent structure with a new screened turn-down type vent structure to meet TNRCC guidelines, and repair the existing small evenly spaced holes in the roof plates. All work shall be in accordance with the statement of work and drawings. Magnitude of construction project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Performance period is 90 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Solicitation is being issued for FULL and OPEN competition. Applicable NAICS code for this project is 235210, with a size standard of $12 million dollars. ATTENTION CONTRACTORS: Funds are not currently available for this solicitation. Award of a contract as a result of this solicitation is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment of this contract may be made. There shall be no legal liability on the part of the government for contract purposes until funds are made available to the contracting officer. The contracting officer will confirm availability of funds in writing to the contractor upon award of contract. Solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted through the electronic posting system (http://eps.gov/). Paper copies will not be provided. Contractors will be solely responsible for monitoring the Internet and obtaining the solicitation documents and any amendments.
