- Description
- The Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service will be soliciting for proposals from prospective contractors for the construction of a freestanding dialysis center and End Stage Renal Dialysis Services for the IHS benefiaciares within the Southern Pueblos. The contractor shall provide ESRD services which will but not be limited to Center Hemodialysis, Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD), Continuous Cyclying Perioneal Dialysis (CCPD), Home diaylsis training and other necessary services considered a routine part of ESRD health care. These services shall be provided in acordance with Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA)Standards. The freestanding, contractor-owned facility must be constructed on land sub-leased from the Pueblo de Cochiti. The contractor shall provide all necessary medical and technical personnel, supplies, drugs, equipment, laboratory, facilities, water treatment system, waste disposal, malpractice insurance and other expertise necessary in fulfilling the requirements of the Government. The Contractor must be Medicare and Medicaid certified and shall maintain such certification during the term of the contract. Upon award of the contract, the administration staff of the Pueblo de Cochiti will be notified; for purposes of opening communication between the Pueblo, IHS and the Contractor. The Pueblo de Cochiti administration is responsible for the sub-lease of land and other related details in the construction of the facility. The contract will be awarded for a base year with four, one-year options for renewal. Technical evaluation factors with assigned numerical weights will be the basis for evaluation of all proposals received. All proposals will be accepted through August 21, 2002.
