- Description
- The purpose of this project is to procure the services of a backhoe, dumptruck and equipment trailer on a fully-operated basis to perform miscellaneous road maintenance work including removal of road slumps and slides, installation of road closure devices such as mounding and pit barriers, and waterbars, cleaning ditches and culvert inlets/outlets, minor remedial road and parking area work at Forest Service Recreation Sites, and other miscellaneous road maintenance work as directed by the Contracting Officer. The contract performance period is for one year from the date of award with an option period for an additional year. The estimated price range for this project(including the option period)is $100,000 to $250,000. All work performed under this contract will be located on Prince of Wales Island, Southeast Alaska. Prince of Wales Island is not connected to any other road system but is served by the Inter Island Ferry Authority ferry system via ferry terminals in Ketchikan, Alaska and Hollis, Alaska. This solicitation is subject to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program and is thus open to all businesses regardless of size. The solicitation will be posted to the FedBizOpps website on or about May 10, 2002 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation via the Internet if at all possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference the solicitation number. Telephone requests for either the solicitation or to be placed on a mailing list cannot be honored.
