- Description
- The U.S. EPA Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), Office of Research and Development (ORD), is seeking a qualified contractor to provide a Automatated Chemistry Analyzer and Cadmium Reduction Module for Nitrate/Nitrite analyses. A brief synopsis of the specifications are as follows: The unit must be capable of analyzing water samples using discrete (individual) analysis of batches of samples by colorimetric spectroscopy and ion specific electrodes (ISE). It must be capable of analyzing ammonia, nitrite + nitrite (by cadmium reduction), ortho-phosphate, total-phosphorous and fluoride with the quality control and methods or equivalents listed on the attached table of specifications for individual analyses. The unit must employ a dual beam digital detector with a range of 0.0001 - 2.500 AUFS with a resolution of 0.0001 AUFS. The unit must provide series of filters ranging from 460 - 880 nm as required by individual methods. The system software must provide the capability of automated method change over from one analyte to another. The software must also provide automated standard preparation, sample dilution, sample spikes, sample duplicates and unattended operation and shutdown. The system must also provide for 16 different reagents and a sample capacity of up to 126, with continuous reloading if required. It must be capable of up to 180 tests per hour with sample and reagent consumption of <0.3ml per test. The unit must use semi-disposable 1 cm path-length cuvettes that are automatically cleaned after each analytle batch to allow continuous multi analyte analysis of each sample as required. The unit must also provide for precision temperature control (+/-0.1 degree C) for reactions as specified in the individual analytical methods This procurement will be processed using full and open competition under FAR Part 12, Commercial Items. The applicable NAICS Code is 334516. All interested parties should submit a request to Barbara Curtiss at U.S.EPA, 26 W.
