Description
NA Design Layout: SOLICITATION: DATM07-02-T-0021 proposal response remains due on 26 June 2002. Amendment #0001 is issued to answer all vendor questions and clarify issues regarding this requirement and provide additional information received through Email as well as the Site Visit, Yuma Proving Ground, 19 Jun 02, Bldg 2105. This amendment will also encompass areas of inquiry discussed at the Site Visit and update interested parties who were unable to attend. A floor plan and pictures of the area are avail able and can be downloaded from the Contracting Division web page, www.yuma.army.mil/contracting. SITE VISIT 19 JUNE 2002 General information regarding area, configuration and requirements are indicated and should include the following in the designated usable space of 19 ft x19 ft. Work will need to be completed within tenant improvements (electricians, carpet layers), there is a possibility of having to work weekends to complete job. Static resistant work surface 20-amp power Task lighting in modules 12? deep task drawer storage Slab floor Full high mobile rack 19 in; rack requires two shelves including power, exhaust fans and doors. Leave two existing wall isles open; at present isles are 2ft5in Three consoles not to exceed 60 in height; ergonomics features important ? mission critical Three mikes to be mounted on to furniture Provide at least 2 telephone pods each station Color: Grey Countertop and Black Console Installation: Charge for installation should be a separate item as End User may choose to install workstations. Laminated work tops acceptable static free QUESTIONS PRESENTED-ANSWERED BY END USER: INQUIRY 1: 11Q: Does the client envision a single-tier configuration or is a double tier configuration acceptable? 11A. Double tear acceptable but not to exceed 60?. 12Q. Do we have a reference for the doors and windows in the 10? x 19? space? 12A. First ? the available space is 19? x 19?, floor plan available? 13Q. Floor Plan of Room. 13A. Please note that the floor plan can be found on the Contracting Division web page, www.yuma.army.mil/contracting. INQUIRY 2 21Q. Is there any obstacles around the room, doors, and windows and where are they located? See floor plan 21A. Yes ? map 2-1/2 feet x 7 ft tall; one double doors 6ft; one door standard 36?; windows are not an issue since the consoles will be configured in the center of the room. 22Q. How high would like to have the monitors? 22A. 60 in 23Q. We can do single tier, double and triple? 23A. Double will work not to exceed 60 in 24Q. Need to know ceiling height? 24A. 8 feet 25Q. What is the size of the equipment and where do you want it mounted? 25A. Monitors various size 14-20 in (see pictures) 26Q. Do you want workspace between the monitors? Yes 26Q. The units come in 25, 48? 60 in and 72in wide? 26Q. We also have 22.5, 45 and reversed wedges for shaping? 26Q. We can do an L shape, U shape, C shape, S shape around the room 26A. U diagram 27Q. Maybe a separate cabinet, or table for printers, video switch and radios? And how do they mount, and size? Maybe EDPs LAN SR? 27A. All must be in the console with the exception of the printers. 28Q. Do you want a separate cabinet for binder and personal storage? 28A. Possibly ? need to see your design. INQURIY 3 31QPlease clarify the dimensions for me. If this is a single console unit housing all of the items listed, I would guess the 14x36x84 refers to 14 feet wide x 36 inches deep x 84 inches high. Please correct me if I have it wrong. Also, by ?single consol e unit?, I mean a single console after fully assembled; it would have to be somewhat modular in design to ship and install without undue difficulty. 31A. It is a module and actually three consoles (each console is one operator position). 32Q. Please clarify the configuration. How many actual workstations does the console contain? 5? 32A. No, each c onsole is one workstation 33Q. Are the 13 monitors arranged in any particular configuration? . 33A. Yes. They are in one row (at this point) however, two rows would be acceptable 34Q. Are they in 2 rows? See 33A 34Q. Or 3? (how many in each row) See 33A 34A. Not to exceed 60 in 35Q. In regard to the CPUs, in the solicitation reference 8 ? are they upright (tower style) that would be housed under the work surface? 35A: Yes 36Q. Or are they horizontal and need desk level space or higher? 36A: No 37Q. Are there any minimum dimensions available on the CPUs ?A: standard tower. Monitors 37A: 14-20?, radios 37A: 19?x30? (rack space needed), printers 37A: 15 ? x 16 ? by 15 high and personal drawer/cabinets 37A: 19? deep area 38Q. Are there any specific heights designated for the work surface or keyboard/mouse drawers/trays? 29-30? is standard desk height, with the keyboard tray a few inches lower. 38A: Standard is acceptable. 39Q. Are there any specific material or finished in mind for the surfaces (laminate, wood, metal)? 39A. Laminated countertop treated static free and metal for consoles This notice will be posed on the Robert Morris Acquisition Center Yuma Contracting Division web page, www.yuma.army.mil/contracting. Final date for receipt of technical questions regarding this Request for Quote must be received on or before 25 June 2002. No additional technical questions will be accepted after this date. Receipt for proposals has been extended to no later than 4:00 pm MST, 02 July 2002, forward RFQ to ATTN: Ms. Phillips Email to: Jacque.Phillips@yuma.army.mil.
