- NA Work to be performed under this contract include, but are not limited to the following: a) Site clearing and preparation of dike subgrade; b) Excavation and drying of on-site materials for use in the construction of the dikes; c) Placement of geotextile a t the base of the dikes; d) Placement of on-site materials to construct the containment and baffle dikes; e) Installation and baseline monitoring of settlement plates along the centerline of the dikes; f) Final grading and seeding of the disturbed area; g) Relocation and repair of the existing sluice and the installation of new piping; h) Construction of an access roadway from the existing access road to the exterior toe of the dike to the relocated sluice. Solicitation documents will be available on the web page on or about 8 July 2002 and hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests shall be accepted. Contractors shall download this solicitation (including drawings) and all amendments (including drawings) from the Internet at the follo wing address: https://ebs.nap.usace.army.mil/AdvertisedSolicitations.asp on or after issue date of the solicitation; The official media of distribution for this solicitation is the ?WEB PAGE?. All required software to download the solicitation documents can be downloaded from the web page under ?Viewers?. Interested contractors must register on the Internet. If any of the contractor?s information changes during the advertisement period, contractors are responsible to make changes to their user profile o n the Internet. Failure to make changes in their user profile may cause a delay in receiving the solicitation and amendments. Bidders are responsible for printing paper copies of the solicitation including any drawings. Bids will be opened on or about 7 August 2002 at 11:00 a.m. This procurement is Unrestricted. The NAICS Code is 234990 with a size standard of $27.5 million. The estimated range of the project is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00 and bonding is required. Affirmative action to insure equa l employment opportunity is applicable to the resulting contract. Liquidated damages will be specified. Award will be made as a whole to one bidder.
