- NA CONTACT J. Michael Ryskamp, Chief, VIS Support Branch, 732 532-5273. A workshop is tentatively scheduled for the preparation of a new acquisition method for a spare buy for the Earcups and Cable Assembly -Drawing A3206613- and the M-172 Microphone Boom As sembly -Drawing A3206363- using performance specification. The workshop is sponsored by the Communications- Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. The location will be determined based on the locations of respondents to this announcement. It is recommended the personnel from each interested party will be in Procurement, Technical, and the Logistics functional area, and each party shall be limited to two representatives to participate in the workshop. The four topics of discussion are; 1) Acquis ition Strategy ? Contract Type; Length (5 to 10 years); Pricing (future units); Source Selection Discriminators; T&M for services; and Value Engineering. 2) Performance Specification ? Performance Parameters; Form, Fit and Function; Interchangeability; Sta tement of Work. 3) Repair Strategy-100% Organic Support-field and depot; Contractor Data Rights. 4) Operational & Sustainment Costs. Any other Industry-Government concerns that fit into the above general categories 1 through 4 will be included in the disc ussions for resolution prior to the issuance of solicitation documents. All participants should be in attendance for the entire week with the full cost borne by attendee. The Government will not be responsible to pay any company expenses. Response to th is announcement is requested by the end of the day of July 15, 2002. Times and locations for the workshop will be provided upon your positive response to this notice.
