- Description
- Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to Upgrade Electrical System in Building 1310, Eglin AFB FL. The NAICS code for this requirement is 235310. The acquisition in unrestricted. This is a Performance Price Trade Off (PPT) acquisition. Award will be made based upon the Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest price offeror. This project includes furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials to Upgrade Electrical, Building 1310, first and second floor, Eglin AFB FL. In general, work consists of providing new pole hardware, 500KVA pad mounted transformer, new dry type transformer, new manual transfer switch, new panel boards, new power distribution system and new receptacle system. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment complete and in accordance with the specifications and drawings. The Base Bid will be the electrical upgrade to the first floor. The Option, if awarded, will be the electrical upgrade to the second floor. Performance period is 120 calendar days for Base Bid and 30 calendar days for the Option; total of 150 calendar days. Estimated dollar range is between $100,000 and $250,000. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on the Federal Government's Electronic Posting System (www.eps.gov) on or about 30 Jul 02. The ESTIMATED PROPOSAL DUE DATE IS 30 AUGUST 2002. No response to this notice is necessary and no Source List will be maintained. Prospective contractors must be register in the DoD Central Contractor's Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the CCR database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS Number. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. See Note 26.
