Description
SYNOPSIS: The work includes furnishing all labor, tools, equipment and materials to complete the following: Removing and disposing of approximately 335 linear feet of existing chain link fence fabric, posts, and foundations. Dispose of all debris off of Coast Guard property. Fill all holes with clean and compacted fill material. Furnish and Install approximately 335 linear feet of 7? high chain link fence with 3 strands of barbed wire on top. Contractor to field verify measurements before ordering material. Stagger new post holes at least 2 feet from existing posts, except for corner posts. Fence shall be placed 1 foot inside the property line. Where existing buildings, structures or roadways make this impractical; fence shall be placed on the property line. Obtain COTR?s approval of new fence location before beginning installation. Remove and dispose of one cantilever vehicular chain link gate and one double ?wide personnel gate. Furnish and install one (1) 16? vehicular slide chain link fence gate, one (1) 14? wide vehicular swing chain link fence gate, and two (2) 42? wide by 7? high personnel gates, all with 3-strands of barbed wire on top. At the end of each workday, ensure the old fence joins the new fencing, and is held in place with metal ties to prevent access to the Coast Guard facility. The work shall be located at U.S. Coast Guard Station, Gulfport, Mississippi. The performance period is twenty (20) calendar days from award date. The estimated price range is less than $25,000. Award will be made to the lowest responsible quoter. The anticipated award date is July 25, 2002. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. Emerging Small Business Reserve. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235990, with a size standard of $12 million. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by this agency. No telephone requests for this solicitation will be accepted.
