Description

SYNOPSIS: The work includes furnishing all labor, tools, equipment and materials to complete the following: Remove and dispose of one (1) existing damaged six-foot tall fence post and foundation. Dispose of all debris off of Coast Guard property. Fill hole with clean and compacted fill material. Furnish and install one (1) six-foot tall fence post and attach to existing fence. Stagger new post hole at least 2 feet from existing post. Furnish and install approximately 90 linear feet of 7? high chain link fence, including two cantilever sections extending out over the water, with 3 strands of barbed wire on top. Contractor to field verify measurements before ordering material. Fence shall be placed as shown in the drawings, from the end of the existing chain link fence to the edge of the marshland. Obtain COTR?s approval of new fence location before beginning installation. Furnish and Install approximately 1402 linear feet of 3-strand barbed wire on top of existing 6-foot tall fence. Contractor to field verify measurements before ordering material. Furnish and Install approximately 15 linear feet of 7? high chain link fence, including a cantilever section extending out over the water, with 3 strands of barbed wire on top. Contractor to field verify measurements before ordering material. Fence shall be placed as shown in the drawings, from the end of the existing chain link fence to the low water mark. A portion of this task will require removal and replacement of shoreline protection stones to properly anchor fence. Obtain COTR?s approval of new fence location before beginning installation. Install Government furnished security signs as detailed in the drawings. The work shall be located at U.S. Coast Guard Station, Grand Isle, Louisiana. The performance period is thirty (30) calendar days from award date. The estimated price range is less than $25,000. Award will be made to the lowest responsible quoter. The anticipated award date is July 26, 2002. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235990, with a size standard of $12 million.
