- Description
- The National Institutes of Health has a requirement for custodial services at its Bethesda, MD campus as well as satellite facilities located in Rockville and Poolesville, MD. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET-ASIDE for eligible 8(a) firms. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 561720; the average annual receipts is $14 million dollars. The Government anticipates award of a fixed-price, indefinite quantity, indefinite delivery type contract. The maximum square footage to be iserviced is 3.5 million and the minimum is 130,500. The square footage to be serviced is categorized into five room groups -- public, staff, health, support, and exterior. The resultant contract will be structued to allow NIH the option of selecting the performance level of services to be provided (i.e., very good, good, and fair) at a fixed price per square foot. The contract shall be for a period of one year commencing 1/1/2003 and include four 12-month options. Solicitation will be available at the NIH acquisition web page: http://www.nih.gov/od/olao/oa/contracts/req_for_proposals.html on or about 6/12/02. All future information regarding this acquisition, including amendments, will also be distributed solely through this web site. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. The only documents not available electronically are the collective bargaining agreement. Dept. of Labor wage determination, and various maps of the NIH facilities. These documents will be available upon written request to the Contracting Officer at the address indicated in this synopsis. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the web site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information regarding this acquisition. The closing date for receipt of proposals by the Government is 7/19/02.
