- DESC: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in far subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number is M67854-02-R-1119 and is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Infantry Weapons Product Group, Quantico, VA, is seeking proposals for 1,208 M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) complete feed tray covers with MILSPEC 1913 Universal Mounting Rails, in support of the M249 SAW upgrade. MARCORSYSCOM is interested in firms who can begin making deliveries of proposed systems within 30 to 90 days from the date of this request for proposal. Interested firms are requested to respond no later than 4 PM, Eastern Standard Time, 18 July 2002. THE GOVERNMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SELECT FOR AWARD ANY, PART, OR NONE OF THE OFFERS RECEIVED. FOB Point will be destination. Shipping, inspection and acceptance will be to: Supply Officer, Marine Corps Systems Command, Attn: Mike Flanagan, 2201A Willis Street, Quantico, VA 22134-6050. The following provisions apply to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (OCT 2000); FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items (JAN 99) Addendum to FAR 52.212-2. Offerors are to include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items (DEC 2000) with their offer. The following clauses apply: FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (MAY 1999); FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items (APR 1998); FAR 52.215-18, Ordering (OCT 1995). FAR 52.216-19, Order Limitations (OCT 1995). FAR 52.216-22 Indefinite Quantity (OCT 1995). Offerors are not limited to a set number of pages on the Offeror?s ability to meet the requirement. The Marine Corps will evaluate the offers and make award(s) as soon as possible. Facsimiles and e-mail responses are acceptable. Unless otherwise stated herein, additional written information is not available. No formal RFP or other solicitation regarding this announcement will be issued.
