Description
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS); Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA); Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS); Special Programs Development Branch (SPDB) through the Program Support Center (PSC), Division of Acquisition management (DAM), is seeking proposals to secure services to Promote Mental Health and Prevention of Mental and Behavioral Disorders: Professional Issues. The purpose of this requirement is to provide professional services to secure services to advance the promotion and prevention initiative by focusing on evidence-based programs, grantee needs and accomplishments, and educational needs of mental health practitioners and administrators. The objectives are to: 1)research, review, and analyze literature on the Promotion of Mental Health and the Prevention of Mental and Behavioral Disorders 2) develop and maintain a data base of evidence-based interventions 3) consult with major mental health professional associations 4)identify mental health promotion and prevention informational needs of State mental health directors/commissioners 5) review, evaluate, and write synopses of Australia?s Five MindMatters Curricula (i.e., "Enhancing Resilience, " "Understanding Mental Illness," "Bullying and Harassment," "Loss and Grief," and "Educating for Life") and its Community Awareness Program. A fixed price award utilizing FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures is contemplated. The simplified acquisition threshold is $100,000. The period of performance is for 12 months after purchase order award. This request for proposal (RFP) will be evaluated using full and open competition. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(1), the solicitation will be made available electronically on or about 15 days from the date of this publication.
