Description
Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Annex proposes to contract for an Annual Indefinite Delivery/Requirements Type Contract for a base year with four (4) one-year option periods, for the Rental of Water Chillers ? 30 Ton, 100 Ton, 150 Ton and 200 Ton. The estimated quantity is (4) each 30 Ton Units per year, (2) each 100 Ton Units per year, (1) each 150 Ton Unit per year and (3) Units 200 Ton Unit per year. Units must have suitable attachment for lifting with a crane. Rental includes on-site set up, start-up training and maintenance checks, repairs and/or replacement, and technical support. Descriptive Literature and Photograph will be required with offers. This requirement will be awarded as set forth under FAR 13.5 - Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. Option quantities will be the same as those set forth for the base year ordering period. All options will be evaluated with the base period. Quantities will be estimated and on an as needed basis. All units have the following specifications: Outlet supplied water to be 41 degrees F to 44 Degrees F; Must be air cooled; 460/480 V with breaker to suit the unit; Units must be a complete system and suitable for use in shipyard environment where dust, dirt, and salt-laden moist air are present; Unit must be skid mounted and not permanently attached to a trailer; Unit must have the necessary covers or other safety devices for all parts of the unit that present safety hazards; and unit shall not contain any class 1 ODS refrigerant. Closing date for receipt of offers is 03 July 2002. Requests for solicitation packages will be accepted via mail and E-mail only.
