Description

NA USACE, Engineer Research and Development Center, WES, proposes to award a contract to Actidyn Systems, Trappes, France, under authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) to supply maintenance service on the Model 684-1 Civil Engineering Centrifuge. The maintenance fu nctions to be performed consists of: inspections of sliprings and rotary joint for excessive wear, check of system preset parameters, check functioning of all safety devices, replace or recalibrate transducers installed on the centrifuge, recalibration of corresponding transducer measuring channel, alignment of optical encoder used for centrifuge rate monitoring, balancing and synchronizing strain gage demodulation, check strain gage accelerometer that controls centrifuge acceleration rate, replacement of s train gage bridge elastic supports that assist balancing, calibration of the PC board unbalance measurement, and check and replacement of all fuses, camera lamps, power supplies, fan motors and pressure gages. This piece of equipment was designed, constr ucted and installed by Actidyn Systems. The required replacement parts are unique to this centrifuge and can only be obtained from Actidyn Systems.
