- NA FC/MR&T, West Bank Mississippi River Levees, Willow Point?Youngs Point, LA, Levee Enlargement and Berms, Item 461-R Description of Work: The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and constructing Item 461-R, levee enlarge ment and berms, in Madison and East Carroll Parishes, Louisiana. Principal features of the work include mobilization and demobilization, clearing and grubbing, semicompacted levee embankment, semicompacted berm embankment, uncompacted berm embankment, lan dside ditchwork, sand-clay-gravel or crushed limestone surfacing, establishment of turf, reinforced concrete pipe culvert, concrete cattle guard headers, salvaging and reinstalling existing cattle guards, providing as-built drawings (both blueline and elec tronic), storm water pollution prevention, and environmental protection. Presently right-of-way is not available. Site visits will not be allowed or bids opened until the right-of-way is obtained. The estimated value of the proposed work is between $5,000 ,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Plans and specifications will be available on the Vicksburg Consolidated Contracting Office WEB PAGE at http://www.mvk.usace.army.mil/contract/ and on COMPACT DISC AT NO CHARGE. Hardcopies will not be available. The CD-ROM May be requested electronically by registering on our homepage or by mailing your request to VCCO AT 4155 CLAY STREET, VICKSBURG, MS 39183-3455. Issue date on or about 08 July 2002. Bid Opening Date on or about 08 August 2002.
