Description
NA Work under this project consists of the contractor providing all materials, labor, equipment, appliances and incidentals necessary for the layout, installing and performing the work as per the project specifications and drawings. Specific work includes, b ut is not limited to: Site grading, installation of foundations, erection of prefabricated building, installation of required utilities, construction and finishing of all floors, walls, ceiling and doorways, construction of fire protection system in accor dance with the requirements of the contract documents and integrate the new system with the base system, installation of landscape materials, installation of equipment. The construction schedule and all elements of this project will be closley coordinated with the Base Civil Engineer. The performance period for this project is 280 calendar days after NTP. The estimated dollar magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The issue date of the solicitation is scheduled for on or around 20 June 2002, with a bid opening date of on or around 6 August 2002 at 1:30 P.M. local time. An organized site visit is scheduled for 17 July 2002 at 10:00 A.M. local time. All interested parties are encouraged to attend to inspect the site and verify exi sitng site conditions. The pre-bid meeting will be held in the Wing Conference Room, Building #174. This acquisition is being conducted utilizing full and open competition as per the small business competitiveness demonstration program. The NAICS Code a pplicable to this project is 233320 with a small business size standard of $28,500,000. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Clause 52.219-4, Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for HUBZone Small Business Concerns will be included in this solictation. T he specification book and drawings applicable to this project will be issued via CD-ROM, paper copies will not be available. Interested firms may order copies of the solicitation package by written request to: USPFO-NY, ATTN: MNPF-PC, 330 Old Niskayuna R oad, Latham, NY 12110-2224. Each request must contain the full business name, address, phone and facsimile number, e-mail address and person to contact. Additionally, firms should indicate their business size (small, sdb, women owned etc) and bidding st atus (prime, sub, or supplier)along with a non-refundable certified check, bank draft or money order payable to the U.S. Treasury in the amount of $50.00. Uncertified company checks will not be accepted and reuturned without action. Funding is not curren tly available for this acquisition. Contract award will not be made until appropriated funding is received for which payment for contract purposes may be made.
