Description

NA Add/Alter Base Civil Engineer Complex at the 109th Airlift Wing, 1 ANG Road, Stratton ANG Base, Scotia, NY 12302. The Contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment, and supervision required to construct an 11,560 SF addition and renovate an 8,900 SF existing building at the 109 Airlift Wing, Stratton Air National Guard Base, Schenectady County Airport, New York in accordance with the project plans and specifications. The addition will house engineering and environmental function. The renovation will include office space and industrial and maintenance shop areas. The renovation will include the construction and demolition of interior walls, electrical modifications, HVAC system renovation, fire alarm renovation, and equipment replacement. The addition portion of the project will include excavation and backfilling of building foundations, relocation of existing underground utilities, reinforced concrete foundations and slab on grade, masonry building construction, structural steel, interior and exterior finishes, the installation of plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, and the construction of a 4000 sf masonry storage building. The construction schedule and all other elements of construction of this project will be closely coordinate d with the Base Civil Engineer. The anticipated construction period is 365 calendar days after acknowledgement of Notice to Proceed. The issue date for this solicitation is scheduled for on or around 20 June 2002 with a bid opening date of on or around 3 0 July 2002 at 1:30 local time. An organized site visit is scheduled for 10 July 2002 at 10:00 A.M. local time. All interested parties are encouraged to attend. Attendees should meet at Building #25. This solicitation is issued utilizing full and open competition as per the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Federal Acquisition Regulation Clause 52.219-4, Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for HUBZone Small Business Concerns shall be contained within this solicitation. The applic able North American Industry Classification System Code for this acquisition is 233320 with a small business size standard of $28,500,000. The estimated dollar magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The specification book and draw ings applicable to this project will be issued via CD-ROM, paper copies will not be available. Interested parties may request a copy of the solicitation package by written request to: USPFO-NY, ATTN: MNPF-PC, 330 Old Niskayuna Road, Latham, NY 12110-2224 . This request must be made in writing on company letterhead, indicating the full name of the business, address, telephone, facsimile number and e-mail addresss and person to contact. Each request should be noted with the firms business size (small, smal l disadvantaged, women owned) and bidding status (prime contractor, subcontractor, or material supplier). All requests must be accompanied by a non-refundable, certified check, bank draft or money order in the amount of $50.00 payable to the U.S. Treasury . Uncertified company checks will not be accepted and returned. Funding is not currently available for this project and contract award will not be made until appropriated funding is received for which payment for contract purposes may be made.
