- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to increase the ceiling of available labor hours in the FAA Telecommunications Support Contract (FTSC)with ITT Industries, Inc. for support in FY 2003 and FY 2004. The present contract, DTFA03-99-D-00012, was a competitive procurement and was awarded in May 1999. The additional hours are needed to continue performance to the original end date of the contract (May 2004). Presently, 1,594,520 hours are included in the contract, with an estimated cost of $100,000,000.00 over five years. At the present burn rate, the contract will reach the original ceiling in March/April 2003. The FAA plans to add up to 400,000 additional hours to the existing contract at a cost estimated to be $35,000,000.00. The original period of performance remains at 5/20/2004. Meanwhile, the FAA will commence a competitive, five-year follow-on acquisition for FTSC.
