Description
The initial synopsis remains in effect unless otherwise stated in this modification. The purpose of this modification to the original synopsis is to provide additional information as follows. This acquisition will be a commercial buy in accordance with FAR Part 12 and will be a partial Small Business Set Aside in accordance with FAR Subpart 19.5. The USCG intends to award three Indefinite-Delivery-Indefinite-Quantity contracts with a minimum guaranteed quantity of one boat each. At least two of the three initial awards will be set aside for eligible, responsible small business concerns. The three awards are expected to be made this summer, concurrent with the issuance of the initial delivery order of one boat per contract, the minium guaranteed quantity. After award, each contractor will be required to produce the boat that they proposed in their written proposal within ninety days after award of the delivery order. Upon delivery of the three boats, the USCG will test and further evaluate the boats equally to down-select to the one boat (contractor) who is determined to be the best value to the USCG, who will then be the intended recipient of additional orders for the duration of the contract period of performance. No further orders will be placed with the two remaining contracts. THE SPECIFICATION FOR THE RESPONSE BOAT-SMALL WILL BE UPLOADED TO THIS WEB SITE AS A RFI (REQUEST FOR INFORMATION). THE SPECIFICATION IS BEING RELEASED (POSTED) FOR INDUSTRY COMMENTS. ALL INTERESTED PARTIES ARE INVITED TO SHARE THEIR COMMENTS REGARDING THE SPECIFICATION BY FORWARDING THE COMMENTS BY EMAIL OR FACSIMILE TO THE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY POINTS OF CONTACT STATED HEREIN. IF EMAILING YOUR COMMENTS, PLEASE COPY BOTH MS BOGDEN AND MS DEARING. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (20-MAR-2002).
