Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, and FAR 13.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicatation will not be issued. The solicitation number, USZA99-02-Q-0062, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. This procurement is restricted to small business. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. Clin 0001, P/N CY-TL8-2030 AIT Automated Tape Library with 30 tape slots and 2 drive bays, cable and terminator, documentation, two years warranty with express depot expedited service, 2 ea. Clin 0002 P/N CY-A100-01/L AIT-3 tape subsystem: 100 to 300GB capacity, 12 to 36MBS transfer rate; tape drive integral to tape library, 4 ea. Clin 0003 P/N CY-TL8-A-LCD two lines, forty columns status LCD, per drive, 4 EA. Clin 0004 P/N UK-TL8-15/30-Bar bar code reader, 2 EA. Clin 0005 P/N UK-TL8-15/30-R upgrade to rack mount chassis, 3EA. Clin 0006 P/N QG-MIC-100 Sony AME AIT-3 tape, 100GB native capacity with Memory-In-Cassette, 100 ea. Clin 0007 P/N QG-TPC-8000 Sony tape path cleaner-36 uses, 10 ea. Clin 0008 P/N CY-BAR-AIT Set of 180 bar code labels, 2 ea. Clin 0009 P/N CY-PCI-29160 PCI LVD SCSI controller, 2 ea. Clin 0010 P/N C6-AME-60 225 meter AME tape for the CY-8960 drive, 60GB uncompressed, 60 EA. Clin 0011 Maintenance upgrade for Expert Alliance site service. For any problem which cannot be resolved over the phone, Cybernetcs will arrange a site visit or advance exchange the field replaceable component, whichever is most expendient. Site visits are subject to travel arrangements, but will occur within two business days, 3 months, exp 9-30-02. . Solicitation Provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items (Oct 2000) is hereby incorporated by reference. Solicitation Provision FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items (Jan 1999) is hereby incorporated, the evaluation factors are technical, price, and past performance. The government will make a determination of best value based on the evaluation factors cited. Contractors are reminded to submit a complete copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items with their quote, if readily available. If not, the clause will be forward for completion prior to award (Oct 2000). Clause 52.212-4, Contract terms and Conditions Commercial Items (May 1999) is hereby incorporated by reference. The Defense priorities and Allocations Systems (DPAS) assigned rating for this procurement is unrated. Signed and dated quotes referencing the RFQ number USZA99-02-Q-0062 must be submitted, no later than 4:30 p.m. 24 June 2002 to Beverly D.
