- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a sole source cost reimbursable contract to XonTech, Inc., 6862 Hayvenhurst Avenue, Van Nuys, CA 91406. The contract will provide for engineering, technical and management services to complete and upgrade the Digital Receiver Coherent Signal Processor (DR COSIP) wideband and narrowband instrumentation radars at the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) to support the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) and Theater High Altitude Air Defense (THAAD) flight test programs. The scope of this effort will include 1) management and engineering services to complete design, develop, procure, fabricate, test and integrate wide-band and narrow-band DR COSIP instrumentation radar modules and associated hardware and software and 2) management and engineering services for mission support on wide-band and narrow-band DR COSIP instrumenta tion radars and the X-Band Data Analysis System (XDAS). This effort is a follow-on effort to National Air Intelligence Center (NAIC) Contract F33657-96-D-0021, which was competitively awarded. XonTech is the sole provider of engineering services to upgrade, enhance and support narrow-band and wide-band DR COSIP instrumentation radar systems and the XDAS attached to the Mark 74 and to provide mission support and data analysis for these systems. Additionally, unique hardware and software designs are used in the control and timing system, digital signal processing, and the radar control and display systems. As the sole designer and developer of the wide-band and narrow-band DR COSIP instrumentation systems, XonTech is uniquely qualified to undertake the follow-on efforts and is the only source technically capable to meet critical milestones for ongoing Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense and THAAD testing at PMRF.
