- NA It is our intent to award a contract on a sole source basis to Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center, Inc., 1100 N. Plum, Hutchinson, KS 67501. The contract is for the restoration of a V-2 Rocket to original visual specifications for the time period in whic h it was tested at White Sands Missile Range. Externally, the rocket shall be indistinguishable from a fully operational airworthy rocket. This acquisition is sole source based on Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center's experience in restoring V-2 rockets. Limited information on the rocket is available and this company has gathered an extended database through many previous restorations. See Note 22 (any other interested parties must respond within 5 calendar days of this notification)
