Description

NA The Technology Applications Office at Fort Detrick MD is issuing this notice as a Request for Information. There is no intention of issuing a solicitation or awarding a contract at this time. We are looking for a contractor who can provide a fully integrat ed Transmit and receive satellite system for internet access over satellite. - The requirement is for a leased system that provides international two way internet service via satellite, with inbound and outbound data rates of at least 384 Kbps. - The system shall provide standard Ethernet interface for the connection of LAN equipment (router, VPN hardware, etc.) - The system shall be installed and operated in the Southwest Asia , Indian Ocean or Pacific regions. - System shall operate using 120/240 VAC 50-60HZ. - Service shall include costs for leasing equipment, satellite access at listed data rates, and applicable tolls and tariffs for the listed regions - Service shall allow for increased data rates up to 1.544 Mbps. - Interested vendors may contact Mr. Patrick Grove at pat.grove@tao.army.mil.
