- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: The 36th Contracting Squadron (36 CONS), Andersen AFB, Guam, anticipates issuing a solicitation on or about 21 June 2002 to acquire custodial services for Andersen Air Force Base (AAFB), Guam. The proposed contract is for a base year and four option years. The contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, supplies, and transportation necessary to manage and perform custodial services in various buildings (listed in the solicitation package) at AAFB, Guam in a manner that will maintain facilities in a neat and professional appearance as well as contribute to the health and welfare of all employees. The contractor, working in close coordination with Government Quality Assurance personnel, facility managers, maintenance personnel, and regular users of spaces, shall maintain and restore facilities to a clean, sanitary, and orderly working and living environment at all times. The work primarily consists of sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, carpet cleaning/shampooing, trash removal, glass/window cleaning, cleaning/disinfecting, descaling showers, toilet bowls, and urinals. Funds are not currently available for this acquisition; therefore, the solicitation will be issued under FAR clause 52.232-18, Availability of Funds. This acquisition will be solicited as 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561720 ($14 million). Once available, this solicitation must be downloaded from www.eps.gov, as no paper copies will be issued. All information required for submission of an offer will be identified in the solicitation. Due to increase in security, the solicitation will also identify the requirements necessary to request and obtain maps and/or drawings. The government contemplates award and performance state date on 1 Oct 02. The resultant award will be made on an all or none basis. This notice serves as a preliminary notice and does not obligate the government to award a contract, restrict the government in its ultimate acquisition approach, or obligate the government to pay for proposal cost.
