- Description
- Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to construct a new BAK-12 System, Eglin AFB FL. The NAICS code for this requirement is 234990. The acquisition is unrestricted. This is a Performance Price Trade Off acquisition and award will be made based upon the Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award the contract to other than the lowest proposed price. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered by the agency. This project includes, but not limited to, furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing all operations in connection with construction of the BAK-12 System, Eglin AFB FL. In general, work will include the installation of the Government provided BAK-12 System, as well as, a new electrical service, metal building for enclosing the BAK-12 equipment, installation of a service road and demolition of the existing restraint system. Also, site work related to the new equipment and removal of old. The work will also consist of providing foundations and work required to install the arrestor engine, fairlead tube and fairlead beam providing new prefabricated metal buildings and electrical service. In addition, a service road and parking for two vehicles is included in the project scope. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment complete and in accordance with the specifications and drawings. Performance period is 30 calendar days. Estimated dollar range is between $250,000 and $500,000. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on the Federal Governments Electronic Posting System (www.eps.gov) on or about 24 June 2002. The ESTIMATED PRORPOSAL DUE DATE is 24 July 2002. No response to this notice is necessary and no Source List will be maintained. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the CCR database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS Number. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. Funds are not currently available for this project. No award will be made until funds are available to make payments under this contract. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after closing date, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. See Note 26.
