- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, Birmingham, Alabama, contemplates negotiation of a sole source procurement with Quality Manufacturing Systems, Inc. (QMSI), Smyna, TN to provide system support and training to new CMOP systems personnel. The system support includes the many automated systems, communications equipment and entire plant networking structures at the VA Mailout Pharmacy, CMOP Charleston, 3725 Rivers Ave, N Charleston, SC 29405. Must have an intimate knowledge of all production system software aspects of the operation including but not limited to the many automated systems, communications equipment, and the entire plant networking structures. Negotiations are beginning on or about June 18, 2002. This Notice of Intent is NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 15 days after publication of this synopis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their services meets the VA requirements, to the Contracting Officer by fax to (205) 933-4509. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the descretion of the Government.
