Description

The United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners-Springfield, MO (USMCFP-Springfield) located at 1900 West Sunshine Street, Springfield, MO 65801 is soliciting for the following services: Solid organ and/or bone marrow transplant program. Including pre-transplant services and supplies associated with the transplant itself and all necessary post-transplant follow-up services and supplies for the transplant patient (inmate). The contractor shall be a Medicare, or Tricare-approved Transplant Center or a member of UNO'S with adequate experience. The NAICS code for this requirement is 622310. Contractor's facility must be located within a 200 mile radius of the USMCFP-Springfield. It is estimated that the solicitation will be uploaded o/a June 28, 2002 with response due o/a July 19, 2002 and proposed contract award o/a September 2002. All dates are estimates and will be adjusted if solicitation is not available by estimated date. The contract performance period will be a one year base award, with four one year option periods. Base year period is from date of award through 12 months. 1st option period will be 13 months from date of award through 24 months. 2nd option period will be 25 months from date of award through 36 months. 3rd option period is 37 months from date of award through 48 months. 4th option period is 49 months from award through 60 month not to exceed five years. Option periods will be awarded at Government's discretion. The Government intends to make a single award requirements contract in response to the written request for proposal. The estimated number of services for the base year is one Liver Transplant and one Kidney Transplant, and one Liver Transplant and two Kidney Transplant for each option year thereafter. These are estimates only and no guarantee as to the number of services per contract period. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered.
