- NA The Walla Walla District Corps of Engineers intends to award a SOLE SOURCE commercial item contract to Electro Industries/Gauge Tech (EIG) in accordance with the authority in FAR 13.5. Subject contract will be for replacement of power monitoring equipmen t needed to implement the new Generic Data Acquisition and Control System (GDACS) at the four Lower Snake River plants and Dworshak Dam. The EIG Nexus equipment provides power metering and information as input to the GDACS. After extensive research and t esting the EIG Nexus equipment was chosen to meet Government needs. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely wi thin the discretion of the Government. Information received in response to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The size standard for small business concerns under NAIC S 334511 is 750 employees.
