Description
NA Project includes construction of Gray Army Airfield (GAAF) Aviation Support Facility (ASF)/United States Army Reserve Center (USARC)/Organizational Maintenance Shop (OMS), Unheated Storage (UNHSTRG). The ASF/USARC Building is approximately 8,000 SM (85,87 0 SF) and includes both Aviation support facilities and administrative/training facilities. The aviation support portion of the building includes offices, hangar bays, shops tool and parts storage, toilets, showers, locker rooms and building support funct ions. The administrative/training area portion of the building includes offices, administrative spaces, assembly hall with kitchen, classrooms, library, learning center, COMSEC training and storage, toilets, breakroom arms vault, unit storage and building support functions. The building structure is steel-frame with perimeter load bearing concrete masonry walls and main floor concrete slabs on grade. the roof structure is sloped steel framing with metal deck and an insulated standing seam metal roof. Th e OMS building is on a separate site and is approximately 350 SM (3,800 SF). The OMS building is load bearing concrete masonry walls with masonry veneer and a sloped insulated standing seam metal roof. The OMS building is located adjacent to the existing Allen U.S. Army Reserve Center and OMS/AMSA Building. The Unheated Storage Building is approximately 90 SM (1,070 SF) and is located adjacent to the new ASF/USARC Building. The Covered Storage Building is approximately 252 SM (2,712 SF) and is also loca ted adjacent to the new ASF/USARC Building. Both buildings are to be pre-engineered metal buildings. The new ASF/USARC is to be constructed at the present location of the Washington Air National Guard (WANG) Hanger P03272. This construction contract als o includes demolition of Hanger P03272, which is approximately 21,000 SF. Options for this project include #1) Construction of the OMS Building and associated site work, #2) Construction of the Unheated Storage Building, #3) Constructin of the Covered Sto rage Building, #4) Construction of the Exterior Storage Paving, and #5) ASF/USARC POV Parking Lighting. The estimated cost range for this project is $10,000,000.00 to $25,000,000.00. Solicitation documents will be available on or about 17 June 2002 and B id Opening Date is 16 July 2002 at 3:00 PM EST. This project is available on compact disk and web only. Project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. The drawing files are in CAL format and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Source View Reader. Both readers are contained in the solicitation package. Minimum system requirements are: 486-based personal computer, Microsoft Windows 3.1 or greater, 8 MB appl ication RAM, 4 MB hard disk space, and compact disk drive.
