Description
NA SOURCES SOUGHT--the purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential HUBZone businesses. Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan anticipates the solicitation and award of a contract for Base Fuels Distribution Services, including but not lim ited to: Contract Management (maintain product levels and investigate abnormal gains & losses, train military on new equipment, control classified property, maintain publications, and perform minor maintenance), Fuels Administration, Quality Control (oper ate fuel laboratory, sample & document, and maintain, monitor & update equipment), Fuel Product Distribution (perform minor vehicle maintenance, refuel/defuel aircraft, perform truck filling operations, ensure proper grade of fuel is issued to aircraft, an d perform ground fuel servicing to support equipment), Fuels Control Center, and Fuels Accounting (reconcile requisition, receipt, issue & inventory documents, prepare & submit reports, identify excessive gains & losses, requisition ground fuels, gasoline, diesel, oxygen & liquid nitrogen, and maintain aircraft & ground fuel credit cards). Contractors must be fully qualified in all aspects of the requirements to be considered. Source selection procedures will be utilized to determine awardee. All interes ted HUBZone business concerns will provide this office, in writing, a notice stating their positive intention to submit a proposal as a prime contractor no later than 14 June 2002. This notification, which shall not exceed five typewritten pages, must inc lude: (1) a positive statement of intent to bid as a prime contractor, (2) identification of the firm with appropriate HUBZone status, which will be verified via SBA PROnet, (3) a listing of projects completed during the past three years, both for governm ent and private industry. The type of project, dollar value, contract number, location, and point of contact are to be included. Indicate if you were the prime contractor or a subcontractor and, if subcontractor, provide the name and point of contact for the prime, and (4) a brief outline of resources, subcontractors, and key personnel that would be used to accomplish the contract. In the event that a sufficient number of HUBZone contractors are not available to ensure adequate competition for this proje ct, it will be advertised as a small business set-aside.
