- Description
- The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB intends to solicit and award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, to EMC Corporation, McLean VA for replacement parts, proprietary diagnostic licenses, diagnostic subscription service, field change orders, field alert bulletins and related on and off-site technical services to support various programs. On and off-site locations are as follows but not limited to: Edwards AFB, CA, Eglin AFB, FL, JASROCK, Key West, FL, and NISE West, San Diego, CA. Technical services will include systems analyst support and telephone support 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Replacement parts will be for Data General Corporation (DCC) MV (Elipse line of computers), AV (AviiON line of computers), MRC (Message Base Reliable Channel), and CLARIION storage equipment for use with Data General equipment; as well as for the Symmetrix line of equipment and associated system and distribution software from EMC Corporation. Potential respondents must show that they have complete access, control, and usage rights of proprietary diagnostics, which can be applied to this contract. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical package, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government?s requirement. In addition, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. Responses shall be limited to 15 pages and should include, as a minimum, (1) evidence of past experience; (2) related projects and/or existing systems, etc; and (3) business size as described above. Anticipated Award date is 15 Sep 02 with contract performance beginning 1 Oct 02. Responses must be received no later than (NLT) 4:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time on the posted close date. Responses should be submitted to: Directorate of Contracting, AFFTC/PKS (Michele Cameron), 5 South Wolfe Avenue, Bldg. 2800, Edwards AFB, CA 93524-1185. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received before the due date published in this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this synopsis. All respondents are reminded of the required Central Contractor Registration (CCR) requirement to be considered eligible for any potential Department of Defense contracts.
