Description
The purpose of this notice is to identify potential contractor sources for the following requirements. The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Office of Public and Indian Housing (PIH) is charged with fostering economic opportunities and providing opportunities for homeownership in Indian country. PIH is seeking to identify experienced 8(a), HUBZone small business concerns, or small business concerns that are on an applicable GSA schedule, to provide services in the two areas below: Training on Homeownership in Indian Country: Services are needed to provide training to tribes and Tribally Designated Housing Entities (TDHEs) requesting assistance in their efforts to provide opportunities in attaining homeownership on their native land. Firms should be familiar with and have capabilities and relevant experience in the following areas: (1)familiar with legal status of Indian land; namely tribal trust and individual allotted land as the trust status of the land has a significant impact on mortgage lending; (2)have current, specific experience with the planning and production of conferences, training sessions and special events in Indian Country and Alaska; and have demonstrated ability in developing training curriculum; (3)familiar with mortgage lending practices in order to conduct extensive training to potential homebuyers in Indian Country; (4)ability to organize multiple workshop logistics including marketing and information dissemination. Economic Development and Federal Procurement Training: Services are needed to conduct outreach to American Indian and Alaska native-owned business firms and to provide training on how they can increase participation in Federal contracting opportunities. Firms should be familiar with and have capabilities and relevant experience in the following areas: (1)familiar with the requirements of Native American businesses; have current specific experience with the planning and production of conferences, training sessions and special events in Indian Country and Alaska; (2)demonstrated ability in developing training curriculum as required; (3)furnish all professional, technical and clerical services, materials and equipment and facilities necessary to meet the objectives. In the near future, HUD anticipates conducting a procurement for these services and at that time will require a more detailed submission of capabilities, experience, resumes, etc. Please provide your notice of interest and a description of your capabilities and experience for both or either of the two areas described above: (1) Training on Homeownership in Indian Country and (2) Economic Development and Federal Procurement Training.
