- Description
- The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Services (NMFS), Southeast Fisheries Science Center, Miami, Florida intends to issue a contract to the College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, North Carolina State University, Raleigh, North Carolina for determination of a recruitment index methodology and the establishment recruitment indices for estuary dependent finfish, blue crab and shrimp on the North Carolina coast. The contract will be for an award period of 12 months with two 12-month option periods. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) for this proposed procurement action. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties are encouraged to respond to this announcement within 15 days of its publication and shall submit in writing, it's name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size and a brief statement regarding it's capability to provide the specified service and the names, telephone numbers, and points of contact for businesses or other Government agencies to which it has previously provided similar services. No response will be provided to those inquiries which fail to provide the information requested. This information shall be submitted to the address stated herein or may be faxed to 816-426-7530. This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available at this time. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement action is solely within the discretion of the Government.
