Description
Contractor shall construct approximately 18.5 miles of four-wire fence on the East Fork Grazing Allotment on the Sula Ranger District and approximately nine miles of three-wire fence and one mile of four-wire fence on the Medicine Tree Grazing Allotment on the Darby Ranger District. Construction of the fence will consist of, but is not limited to, H-braces, steel posts and barbed wire. If existing fence meets the contract specifications, then it may be used in lieu of building new fence. This contract also involves removal of old existing fence. Contractor shall furnish all fencing materials. Project areas are located on the Sula Ranger District, 40 miles south of Hamilton Montana. Fourteen miles of the fence is located in the East Fork Grazing Allotment; upper Lyman and Cameron Creeks and along Guide Creek. One mile is an exclosure fence on Meadow Creek. The remaining 3.5 miles of fence is located on the Waugh Gulch Grazing Allotment; two miles of fence extending up the ridge from Indian Trees Campground, and 1.5 mile of new fence at Porcupine Saddle. Project areas are located on the Darby Ranger District, 25 miles south and a smaller portion 10 miles southeast of Hamilton Montana. Nine miles of fencing is located on the Medicine Tree Grazing Allotment in the Robbins Gulch area, and the remaining mile is located in the Sleeping Child drainage. Price Range.
