- Description
- The Library of Congress/FEDLINK intends to negotiate a sole source IDIQ contract with Gale Group (GR) to continue to provide their Gale Research database services for the FEDLINK Program for FY03. The proposed contract is for one year. Gale Group is a world leader in e-information publishing for libraries and information centers. Gale Group provides libraries access to InfoTrac and LegalTrac- proprietary full-text legal and news databases of accurate and authoritative reference content including full-text journals and newspaper articles. Gale Group also provides federal libraries and information centers access to other leading publishers of reference information product in such subject areas as business, finance, health and wellness, literature, general reference and ready reference. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals or bids. No telephone calls regarding this notice will be accepted. Written responses shall include prices and technical data sufficient to determine capability. No award will be based on any offer or proposal received in response to this notice. (See Note 22). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
