- Description
- Sources Sought for the establishment, supplies, services and capital equipment necessary to provide fire suppression services for the Alvin C York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN. Contractor shall operate fire department for the facility. The location (on or off site) will be determined later. Some services may be performed by VA, like inspection of fire extinguishers, or may be included in a contract. The Medical Center has 614 beds, a 166 bed nursing home unit, and one 5 story building. Most other buildings are 3 story and most are brick construction. The original 9 buildings surround a quadrangle of park like grass with other buildings close by. Fire protection standards shall comply with the requirements detailed in the VA manual located at http://www.va.gov/facmgt/standard/dmnual/dmfpfire.doc.
