- Description
- Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with the ADF&G for the Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC). Purpose of proposed contract is to collect data on groundfish as part of the annual ADF&G Gulf of Alaska shellfish survey. This is an on-going, standardized ADF&G survey in the Gulf of Alaska providing a time series of data which can provide additional data used in groundfish assessments made by the AFSC. No other agency or organization conducts standardized trawl surveys in the Gulf of Alaska that would provide the additional data. Funding is provided to add a biolgist to the scientific staff on the survey to collect this data and to update survey equipment to further standardize the ADF&G survey with the AFSC biennial trawl surveys. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.
