- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. The Air Armament Center, Eglin AFB, FL, intends to solicit, request a proposal/quote, and award a sole source firm-fixed price contract for two tantalum metal rods to Cabot Performance Materials of Boyertown, PA under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.The anticipated award date is 06 June 2002. This requirement is for 1 pure tantalum rod, 2.50? diameter x 57.0? length, unannealed, ASTM B365 Ro5200, 168 pounds. Also: 1 tantalum rod, 2.5 % tungsten/ 2.50? diameter x 19.0? length, unannealed, ASTM B365 RO5252, 55 pounds. Items must be delivered to AFRL/MNMI model shop, Apalachicola St. Bldg. 614, room 1, EGLIN AFB FL, 32542 no later than 60 days after receipt of order on an FOB Destination basis. The North American Industry Classification code (NAICS) for this acquisition is 331419, small business size standard: 750 employees. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard.
