Description

SAIC Frederick, Inc. Operations and Technical Support Contractor for the National Cancer Institute at Frederick (NCI-Frederick) under Contract Number N01-CO-12400 is acquiring information from vendors that can provide a Cage Waste Disposal System with vacuum (pneumatic) technology that can be designed specifically for transporting cage waste bedding material. The system shall transport the waste via stainless steel tubing to an outside dumpster. Both a hopper interface and a vacuum hose shall be provided on the system so the operator shall have a choice of either using a vacuum hose to vacuum cages individually, or to dump waste directly into a hopper. As well as the following features: Limestone Injection System, Filter/Receiver Aeration, Manual Removable Dumpster Hood/Dumpster Alignment Interface, and Control and Alarms. This synopsis is issued for information only. Information submitted in response to this notice will be solely to determine whether or not it would be in SAIC-Frederick, Inc. best interest to use competitive procedures to fulfill this requirement.
