- Description
- The project work site is the U.S. Coast Guard Station building at the Integrated Support Command (ISC) 100 MacArthur Causeway, Miami Beach, Florida. The project work consists of converting the existing Officer of the Day (O.D.) room to a holding room and adding a toilet and lavatory combination adjacent to the new holding room (first floor work). Extending the existing second floor roof structure over the existing first floor lower roof, removing the existing lower roof and roofing materials and expose the existing concrete slab. Build new partitions for a training/lounge room and for the Executive Officer and Commanding Officer offices. Furnish and install new metal stairs on the south side of the building from the new second floor to grade. Selectively demolish all non-bearing partitions and acoustical ceilings in existing second floor areas. Leave only the 8? CMU bearing wall and existing toilet adjacent to the existing stairs. Partition the remaining area to accommodate the new berthing rooms, bathrooms, communication room, Officer of the Day room, and general offices. Provide all mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems to service all the new areas. Performance time is 180 days. The estimated price range is $250,000.00 - $500,000.00. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 233320, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction contractors with a size standard of $27.5 million. Bid guarantee, performance and payment bonds are required. Contract will be awarded pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Bid Opening date is December 28, 2001, 2:00 pm local time. DOT short-term lending program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000.00 with interest at the prime rate.
