Description
NA The Defense Contracting Command-Washington (DCC-W) on behalf of Defense Security Service (DSS) intends to award a Fixed Price Award Fee (FPAF) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Single Scope Background Investigations (SSBIs) and Si ngle Scope Periodic Reinvestigations (SSBI-PRs) in support of Department of Defense security clearances performed by the DSS. This requirement is restricted to Contractors listed on General Services Administration Federal Supply Schedule 738-X. The req uirement is for a base year with four 1-year option periods. The contractor will be required to perform all investigative leads with the exception of the National Agency Check and Credit Check. A single award is anticipated. All cases provided to the co ntractor shall have a delivery deadline of 60 days for a SSBI and 75 days for a SSBI-PR calculated from the time the requirement is transmitted to the contractor until the completed Report of Investigation (ROI) is electronically transmitted back to the Go vernment. The RFP will also require alternate pricing for a delivery deadline of 75 days for a SSBI and 90 days for a SSBI-PR. All investigators must possess a SECRET clearance based upon a properly adjudicated SSBI. The solicitation will contain detail ed experience/training requirements. The Government estimates 6,350 SSBI-PRs and 2,000 SSBIs each year. The Government is seeking industry comments/questions regarding the DRAFT SOW which can be accessed at http://www.dss.mil/nf/sow/ - DRAFT Whole Case SOW. Potential offers are instructed not to contact representatives of the DSS regarding this requirement.
