Description
Contractor to provide cardiac arrhythmia event detection services to patients of the VAMC, Hwy 6 West, Iowa City, Iowa 52246, using ambulatory ECG event recorders for the monitoring of patients with infrequent cardiac symptomatic events. Holter monitoring services and Ambulatory Blood Pressure monitors also included. Service shall be provided 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. A contractor staff must be available at all times for telephone consultation. Contractor will provide all event recorders as required. Event recorders must be state of the art equipment and have an extended looping ECG memory of a minimum of five minutes (300 seconds) and a frequency response of .05 to 30 Hz. The monitoring system must be lightweight, and simple for patients to use. It is estimated that approximately 240 patients per year will require ambulatory ECG monitors and monitoring services. Approximately 600 patients per year will required holter event recording equipment. Approximately 6 patients per year will require ambulatory blood pressure monitors. Contract period shall be for a base year or upon award of contract with three 12 month options included. Total contract period is not to exceed four years. NAICS code is 621999 and small business size is $8.5 Million per year. Request for proposal will be available on May 16, 2002.
