- Description
- Remodeling of existing labs and toilet rooms and HVAC upgrade of existing system at the Forestry Sciences Laboratory, in Houghton, Michigan. The project consists of the demolition of: existing boiler, water heater and associated piping; existing labs and toilet rooms; removal of ACM floor tile and pipe insulation. The reconstruction of new lab spaces; barrier free toilets and shower room; flooring; HVAC system; boiler; water heater; and upgraded temperature controls and electrical service upgrades. The replacement of existing HVAC system to include new: one 1500 cfm rooftop HRU, one 1800 cfm MUA Unit, and rooftop cooling condensers: one three (3) ton; one four (4) ton; two (2) 2.5 ton; one 1500 cfm fan coil unit, one three (3) ton and one four (4) ton AC unit and four exhaust fans. Renovation of two toilet rooms and two new 300 MBH boilers, water heater, circulating pumps, piping and insulation. Retrofit of casework, new countertops, two new fume hoods and dry lab. Provide new break room with countertop, cabinets and sink. Also, included is the removal and abatement of asbestos insulation on joints of existing hydronic piping and 5500 sf of asbestos contained floor tile. Total completion is 120 days after award. Estimated Price Range: Between $250,000 and $500,000. Twenty (20) percent bid guarantee, 100 percent payment and performance bonds are required.
