- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into negotiations on a sole source basis with Santa Barbara Infrared (SBIR) to procure both one (1) Spectral Radiometer (SR) unit and the demonstration of (1) Dynamic IR Scene Projector (DIRSP) integrated into the Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS). The SR and DIRSP will provide CASS with the capability to test and calibrate the spectral and radiometric accuracy of current Electro-Optical (EO) CASS systems as well as providing consideration for target image verification SBIR, as the sole designer, developer and integrator of the EO CASS system, is the only known firm with the unique knowledge, experience, technical data, software, test equipment, to provide/integrate both the SR and DIRSP to the EO CASS system. The Government does not own the technical data for the SR or DIRSP. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A successful respondent must have a history of development and supply of EO CASS specific hardware, the capability of development of a SR instrument, and specific experience of demonstrated DIRSP equipment. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation package will be available.
