- Description
- NA Project Number 300099, New Construction of Entry Way/Guard Facility. The work consists of furnishing all supervision, plant, labor, equipment, materials, testing, and all incidentals for construction. The construction will be on Fort Harrison, Helena, Mo ntana. This is federal property and will require compliance with all environmental, industrial hygiene, occupational safety regulations and laws. Work includes but is not limited to: Site work: The grubbing and grading of the existing site, extension and installation of all required site services, site drainage and stabilization of site located utilities. The site work will require extensive alter ation to existing parking, lighting, fencing, and security provisions. New work will include site work at the main entry point to Fort Harrison, the existing north entry point, and the existing Helena Armed Forces Reserve Center (HAFRC) entry point. Work will include installation of screened barrier gates at the north and south entry points. Surfacing includes asphalt, concrete and seeding, all at controlled grades, conditions and construction detailing. Building Construction: The facility will be an 848 square foot one-story structure. The building will be constructed of concrete enclosure lid with steel frame roof and permanent concrete-type wall construction with concrete floors. The estimated magnitude of the proposed construction is between $500,00 0 and $1,000,000 with a completion period of 245 days. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 23332 with a size standard of $17.0 million. Bid documents are anticipated to be available on or about May 30, 2002. A tentative deadline for the receipt of bids is July 2, 2002. Bid documents will be CD-ROM. Only written requests for bid documents accompanied by a check or money order in the amount of $35.00 will be accepted. Make check or money order payable to the Centralized Disbursin g Officer. This is a nonrefundable charge. All requests must indicate business size and minority status. Once the supply of CD-ROMS is depleted contractors will be required to obtain documents from existing plan holders. Bid documents will be available for in-house use in the office of the Contracting Officer after the solicitation is issued. Telephone requests for bid packages or bidder mailing lists will not be accepted. A Firm Fixed-Price contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsib le bidder as a result of this solicitation. This solicitation is advertised on an unrestricted basis.
