- Description
- The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, National Weather Service intends to solicit for repair 2 each, Klystron, Litton PN: L-5782-20, ASN: R400-3V1. SN: 1139R1, WON: 220967. SN: 1110R1, WON: 242959. The government intends to award on a sole source basis to Litton Electron Devices, San Carlos, CA. Litton Electron Devices is the original manufacturer of the equipment. All specifications are proprietary to Litton. Litton will furnish labor and material to place in like-new operating condition and good appearance to meet the specifications and/or tolerances of the equipment. The government has no specifications or adequately detailed information to solicit bids from other sources. These items will be delivered to the National Weather Service, Kansas City, MO. The government knows only one company authorized to repair the equipment listed. Any other source authorized to repair the exact make and model of the equipment referenced herein is encouraged to respond to this announcement within ten (10) days of its publication. Interested firms must provide in writing its name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size and a brief statement regarding its capability to repair the specified equipment, and the name, telephone number and point of contact for businesses or other government agencies to which it has previously repaired the item. The information is to be submitted to the address stated herein or may be faxed to (816) 426-7530, attn: Jackie Shewmaker. This is not a request for quotation and no solicitation is available. The government reserves the right to solicit quotes based on receipt of affirmative responses to this notice or issue an order to Litton Electron Devices, whichever is determined to be more advantageous to the government, without further notice. This purchase will be made under the guidelines of FAR part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
