- Description
- NUWC-Division Keyport requires disposal of 94,100 magnesium batteries totaling 195,000 lbs from date of award through 30-Sep-2002 and located at NUWC-Hawthorne Nevada. Material to be loaded, transported, treated and disposed of in accordance with the Resource, Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. It is NUWC-Division Keyport?s intent to Sole Source this requirement to U S Ecology Inc. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document incorporates the provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-07. NIACS Code for this procurement is 562211. The following pro visions apply to this solicitation, 52.212-1 Commercial Items; 52-212-3 Offeror Representation and Certification-Commercial Items, a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3 to be submitted with vendor quote; 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items and 52.212-5. Responses shall be due NLT 1600 hours PT on 08 May 2002. Simplified Acquisition Procedures shall be used for this procurement. See Numbered Note 1*****
