- NA The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head, Md. (NSWCIH) is intending to award a firm fixed price (FFP) Contract for development of one Aluminum Injection Mold Cavity Set. The contractor is expected to provide (1) one Aluminum Injection Mold Cavity Set to fit into contractor owned mold base to produce Cap, Shipping, Warhead, Dwg 318AS178. Tooling will produce a minimum of 100,000 pieces. Mold will become the property of the Government and will be maintained and stored by the contractor. (2) 9300 Cap, Shipping, Warhead, Dwg 318AS178, Polyethylene, ASTM D4976. Group 1 (Branched), Class 2 (Medium Density, Grade 5 (Flow Rate To 0.4) containing 2.50+ 0.5% carbon by weight, approx. 5.27? OD X 2.79?, approx. 6 oz. Delivery to be made as follows: five (5) units for first article approval. 3100 units delivered after first article approval. 3100 units three (3) weeks after first delivery, 3100 units three (3) weeks after 2nd delivery. The applicable North American Industrial classification System (NIACS) code is 332995, 500 employees FSC code is 1420. This requirement is 100% set aside for small businesses. The solicitation notices and any/all amendments will be posted and available for viewing and downloading on the Government Electronic Posting System (EPS) site at www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies will be issued. When the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the aforementioned site regularly for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All prospective Offeror?s must have a Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE Code) and be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) at www.ccr2000.com. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, it does not restrict the Gove rnment's ultimate approach, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs.
