- 17. Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to modify sole source Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00024-99-G-5220 with Northrop Grumman Norden Systems Inc. (NGNS) of 65 Marcus Drive, Melville, NY 11747 to extend the ordering period for one year from the current expiration date of 20 June 2002. The BOA provides for the issuance of multiple orders for Design Agent, Engineering and Technical Services in support of Engineering Changes/Product Improvement and Studies under the AN/SYS-2 (V) Integrated Automatic Detection and Tracking (IADT) System Program. The BOA allows for the placement of firm fixed-price (FFP) type contract or cost-plus-fixed-fee (CPFF) type contract orders. NGNS is the original designer, developer, and the sole producer of the AN/SYS-2 (V) IADT System. As such, NGNS is the only known firm possessing the requisite technical expertise and background to perfo rm the required design agent, engineering and technical services in a cost effective manner while minimizing the impact to the AN/SYS-2 (V) deliveries to the Navy?s shipbuilding schedules. The modification will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This synopsis is for informational purposes only and the benefit of potential subcontractors. The government intends to solicit and negotiate only with the source identified herein.
